I am a co-investigator on several scientific cameras, including the MArs Hand Lens Imager (MAHLI). It is a fantastic camera, and you can now read all about it in great detail at
http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/s11214-012-9910-4. The MAHLI Principle Investigator, Ken Edgett, put in a major effort to get this paper published while also preparing for the mission and doing his other work. He is also dedicated to open access publication, like many of us, so EVERYONE can read about MAHLI and what we can do with it on Mars. Congratulations to Ken!
